June 2012 Meeting Minutes

SCOTTSDALE COLONY
HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION MEETING
June 25, 2012


The board meeting was called to order at 6:08 PM.  Board members attending: Suzanne Muusers, John Frigo, Lance Donatello and Brian Weimer. Also attending: Steve Cheff of Heywood Realty and Scott Sowl of Kleanrite Landscaping

Time was given to Scott to discuss some landscape issues.  Scott discussed possible resolutions to the ponding issue north of the 6350 mailboxes.  He will get bids for different proposed solutions.  He also discuss some of the issues regarding the complaints received about trimming.  He will provide a bid for blowing around all buildings on a 4 week cycle rather than a 6 week cycle.


The minutes from the May board meeting were approved as presented.

The financial statement for May was reviewed and approved.

The board discussed the problems with the pool.  They want to get the schedule of services for each time of week that the pool is serviced.  With the solar heating circulating through the pool the aerators should stay on through August and into September. 


Steve to contact Kevin with Performance Solar to see if he is going to make the changes to the solar system as suggested by SRP.  These changes should help get better flow with the system and improve our monthly readings..  If he will not do this then the board will consider alternative solutions to getting the issues resolved.

The board discussed changes to the architectural requirements regarding security doors, front gates, patio gates and garage doors.  These changes will be posted on the blog for all owners.  The changes for the front wood doors and patio covers will be discussed at the next meeting.

Steve to get wood pieces removed where drinking fountain was mounted on exterior wall by pool.  Also the back rest in the women’s sauna needs to be secured. 

Steve to get the lounge chairs re-strapped asap.  If Nu Look will not stand behind their work then get work done now and fight for refund in future.

Steve to have the old chair in the storage room hauled off. 

the board discussed the complaints about the visitor parking signs.  Steve to get bids for wood signs and for painting the wheel stops (parking curbs) in order to remove the old metal signs.
