June 2016 Board Meeting

The board usually meets the 4th Monday of every month at 6pm at the community clubhouse (please confirm the meeting date as there are sometimes outside factors that may alter when the board meets. The board does NOT meet in August and December).

The next HOA meeting will be held on Thursday June 30, 2016 at 6pm at the clubhouse. Residents are invited to attend.

April 2016 Annual Meeting Minutes

THE COLONY AT SCOTTSDALE
HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION MEETING
ANNUAL MEETING APRIL 25, 2016


The board meeting was called to order at 6:10 P.M. Board members attending were: Suzanne Muusers, Lance Donatello, Brian Weimer, and John Frigo. Also attending:  Steve Cheff of Heywood Realty.   It was determined that a quorum was present or represented via absentee ballot.

The minutes of the 2015 Annual Meeting were reviewed and approved as presented.

The treasurer’s report was reviewed with the owners in attendance.

Suzanne presented the President’s Report:
Accomplishments of last year include fences at solar panels to protect the panels from vandalism, a new more secure gate to the canal, driveway improvements for the worst driveways, most of budget went to landscape maintenance and improvement.  Moving forward we will be doing tree trimming, seal coating streets, kool deck repairs, re-strapping pool furniture, repairing tennis court, some clubhouse renovations, looking at more driveway improvements, and looking forward to painting in 2019.

Owner discussion included topics: driveways, getting notices out sooner for meetings via e-mail blasts, designate parking by mail boxes as 15 minute only zones from 8 am – 8 pm, adding doggie stations, etc.

Elected to the board of directors: Lance Donatello and Suzanne Muusers.

March 2016 Board Meeting Minutes


SCOTTSDALE COLONY
HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION MEETING
March 28, 2016


The board meeting was called to order at 6:09 PM.  Board members attending: Suzanne Muusers, Brian Weimer, Lance Donatello and John Frigo.   Also attending: Steve Cheff of Heywood Realty and Scott with Kleanrite Landscaping.  Melissa was excused.

Time was given to Scott of Kleanrite Landscaping to discuss issues regarding the landscaping of the community.

The minutes from the last board meeting were approved.

The financial statement for February was reviewed and approved.

Old Business:
The board would like the company that sprayed the weeds to return and spray them again.

The board would like to get the dog waste picked up.

The new gate at the canal has been installed as well as the fencing around the solar panels..

New Business:
The board reviewed the bids for the concrete driveway repair as it was obvious that the low bidder that had been awarded the project will not come through.  The board voted to accept the bid of All Pro Maintenance.  Steve to contact them and get it scheduled as soon as possible.

The board discussed the seal coating of the asphalt.  This should be done after the driveway project is completed.  The board approved the bid of Ace Asphalt.

The board approved getting the pool furniture fixed up for swimming season.  Steve authorized up to $1,000 in repairs and new furniture.

The board would like to get bids on the tennis court resurfacing.

The Board discussed delinquencies and violations.  Management to take approved measures to correct problems.

January 2016 Board Meeting Minutes

HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION MEETING
January 25, 2016


Board meeting was called to order at 6:05 PM. Board members attending: Melissa Heise, Lance Donatello, Suzanne Muusers, Brian Weimer, and John Frigo.   Also attending: Steve Cheff of Heywood Realty and Scott Sowl Kleanrite Landscaping

Scott S. discussed cutback for those plants affected by frostbite and moving forward with general landscaping.
The financial statements and minutes for November were reviewed and approved.
Old Business:
A. The board reviewed the bids for removal of the dead pine tree by 6350 mailboxes. The board approved bid by Turf and Trees for this removal sand stump grinding. Weed King was motioned by Brian, seconded by Lance all in favor.
B. Board discussed the driveway project. The contractor with the low bid has not been retuning phone calls or emails. Steve to contact the next lowest bidder, New Look Restorations, to have Bill Sykes update his bid with current pricing.
C. The gate to the canal and the chain link fence by the solar water heater have yet to be done. The contractor is running behind due to the rains we have had. He should get these completed in the next few weeks.
